Synopsis

The Hairy Bikers are on a mission to save Britain's best family recipes from being lost for all time. They're travelling up and down the country in search of mums with recipe books handed down from generation to generation, discovering their stories and creating their lip-smacking family favourites including Cheese Pie, Clootie Dumplings, Home-Made Crumpets, Barrovian Love Sponge, Pan Haggerty, Great Grannie's Pudding, Bacalao al bras, Roast Saddle of Venison, Baked Alaska, Roast Ham and more.

In each episode the mums join the Bikers at a Food Fair to share their best recipes, while members of the public bring theirs; and favoured cooking implements from across the ages are tested to see whether new ways or old ways are best - from potato mashers to whisks, from cheese graters to can openers - in an hilarious no-holds-barred race against the clock.

It's cooking fun like never before as the Hairy Bikers set out to prove once and for all that Mums Know Best.
