Synopsis

Join zoologist martin Hughes-Games as he visits projects all over the world, from the outback of Australia to the savannahs of East Africa. The series follows the dedicated and inspirational individuals working to save some very special babies natures miracle babies who are the lifeline to preserving some of our planets most critically vulnerable species.

In each episode we learn of key animals and their stories, gaining insight into the fascinating biology of some amazing creatures and discovering how extraordinary hi-tech science is being used to help miracle babies. Theres great hope for the future of the rarest cat in the world, the Amur leopard. With only 35 left in the wild, the arrival of a litter of tiny cubs could help save this species from extinction. Theres a rollercoaster of emotions following the exhausting vigil of one very special giant, an Indian one horned rhino, who has her keepers on tenterhooks for days as she tries to deliver a baby as big as a man. And heartbreak turns into hard work for a dedicated team at Jersey Zoo. They have to become surrogate parents to a litter of tiny baby pied Tamarins. Will they make it through?
