  Me and my girlfriend bought 1 kobo each last June and both broke down in less than 6 months. In fairness to Kobo, they replaced my partner's unit after 2-3 weeks. I'm still stuck with an unusable Kobo though after 2 weeks of emailing customer support back and forth. I wouldn't recommend Kobo to anyone now. Get yourself a Sony reader/Kindle instead

  I purchased one in August to take overseas and have never had a problem with it - it's so much easier than carrying a heavy book and now I can get rid of my bookcase as their is no storage problems - just us a sd card

  I have the new Kobo with Wi-Fi and I love it. If you love books or you know someone who loves books then this is the gift for them.

  I love my Kobo eReader it is very easy to use and weighs nothing. The 100 free eBooks are OK a few good titles.

  I love my Kobo eReader it is very easy to use and weighs nothing. The 100 free eBooks are OK a few good titles. I think that the Kobo is much better then the Sony eReader.

  After a few great months with my Kobo, it stopped working and for three months "customer support" has been playing games with me. Has anyone EVER had a Kobo fixed or replaced???? Unfortunately, without a decent customer support, Kobo is a waste of money. :(

  I'm thrilled with my kobo wifi! It's really is for booklovers who don't want all the useless fancy extras.
  
  Just an excellent, reliable e-reader.
  
  I love it. I like also how I'm not tied to shop from a particular shop as is the case with the Kindle (you have to buy all your books for life from amazon).

  My husband got to enjoy his Christmas gift for about 6 weeks before his Kobo would no longer turn on or display pages properly. It had not been dropped or roughly treated, and used to be carried around in his laptop bag which was obviously not thrown around.
  
  We returned to the store where we bought it only to be told that we would have to contact Kobo (an American company). After emailing them AND Borders about a month ago I have received fleeting emails from Kobo and then...nothing.
  
  It's a great item for a short time, but don't expect any help whatsoever when something goes wrong.

  I had the same issue with emails. No follow through, just simple responces. You have to call the Kobo support number and keep calling them every few days. And then contact the courier if they decide to deliver on a day you said to Kobo you wouldn't be there. I would have received my kobo last week if they had told my availability to the couriers.
  
  Persistance is the only way you'll get a replacement kobo. I just got mine today, :) after rescheduling the courier. It took about a bit over month of waiting around and phone calls, but got a replacement eventually. Thanks :).

  Was given a Kobo for Xmas and had to return the first one because the battery wouldn't charge. No problems there.
  
  Over the past 3 months I've had a few issues with books downloaded not turing up in my books list, battery getting low and then losing all my settings once charged, having to rest at least twice. Now the screen is faulty and of course Borders can't refund my money! So off to the Kobo customer service line and I get told that it's up to Kobo to decide if I get my money back. Seriously?? It's faulty, I've now had 2 and you really think I want a 3rd? No thanks...just give me my money back.
