Upon placing your order you should receive a confirmation email followed by a dispatched email once your order has been dispatched. If for whatever reason you do not receive either of these emails, you may view them at any time in the account page when logged into your account.

Borders online store uses the services of Australia Post to distribute to addresses within Australia. All titles on the Borders web site show the estimated shipping time and the estimated time it will take for the title to be delivered to your address.

PLEASE NOTE: Borders does NOT use a tracked service.

Delivery timeframes
The time taken for a title to reach you once it has been dispatched depends on where it has been sent from. Please check both the 'Ships in' and 'Received in' times given above an item's "buy" button to determine the delivery time to you. This time is determined as follows:

• Ships in 24 hours, Received in 10-15 days:
  The title is dispatched from an overseas supplier who will send the title directly to you. You should expect to receive it within 10 to 15 working days (from the working day following receipt of the dispatch email).  This estimated delivery time applies to metropolitan areas of Australia, Perth, Tasmania and rural delivery will take slightly longer - typically another 3 to 4 working days.  PLEASE NOTE 10 to 15 working days is the typical time you can expect your order to take once it has been shipped.  Sometimes your order may arrive more quickly, occasionally it may take longer.

• Ships in 24 hours, Received in 7-10 days:
  The title is dispatched from an overseas supplier who will send the title directly to you. You should expect to receive it within 7 to 10 working days (from the working day following receipt of the dispatch email).  This estimated delivery time applies to metropolitan areas of Australia, Perth, Tasmania and rural delivery will take slightly longer - typically another 3 to 4 working days.  PLEASE NOTE 7 to 10 working days is the typical time you can expect your order to take once it has been shipped.  Sometimes your order may arrive more quickly, occasionally it may take longer.

• Ships in 24 hours, Received in 2-3 days:
  The title is dispatched from our Melbourne fulfilment centre and sent with Australia Post. You should expect to receive it within 2-3 working days (from the working day following receipt of the dispatch email) for most metropolitan areas in Australia. Perth, Darwin and large cities and towns in QLD, NSW, SA & TAS can take 3-5 working days; other locations can take 4-6 days; remote areas can take longer.

• Instant download:
  This is an ebook and will be added to your 'My Library' ready to download to your preferred eReading device. If it is a free book it will be added when you click 'add to my Library'. If it is one you have purchased it will be added when you have completed the transaction. You must be logged in to see your library of eBooks.

• Pre-Order:
  A Pre-order title is displayed with a 'PREORDER' button. This title is not in stock either in our fulfilment centre or with our suppliers but is available for pre-order (i.e. to be ordered in advance of the publication or release date).
  
  Pre-ordered titles will generally be dispatched on or shortly after the publication date. Please check the individual title for more specific delivery details.
  
  Please note that Borders make no guarantee regarding dispatch or delivery of pre-orders and publication and release dates are subject to change without notice. We will endeavour to keep our site up to date following changes to any such date - please check our site to confirm dates.

• Back order - estimated delivery 3 to 5 weeks:
  A Back order title is displayed with a 'BUY' button.  This title is not in stock but can be ordered. Where possible we will provide an expected date when this title will be back in stock with our suppliers. If no expected date is listed, it will generally ship in 3 to 5 weeks.  However please be aware in some instances our suppliers may not be able to fulfil these titles.  In this instance you will be noified.

Other delivery information
Your order is charged in full at the time your order is placed. Please ensure the delivery address and receiver's name for your order is accurate and complete (including any business name if shipping to a work address) as we are unable to change any details once the order has been placed.

Our databases are regularly updated based on current availability information supplied by publishers and distributors. Titles can and do sometimes become temporarily unavailable whilst reprinting, or they may go out of publication without prior notice from the publisher or distributor.

Borders online store will endeavour to supply all orders placed via this site. All products are listed for sale in good faith, but it is possible a supplier may notify us that a title is currently unavailable or no longer available. Upon receipt of this information from a supplier our online customer service team will contact you to let you know of the cancellation or delay of your order and payment will be refunded for each cancelled item.
