Delivery Information

Upon placing your order you should receive a confirmation email followed by a dispatched email once your order has been dispatched. If for whatever reason you do not receive either of these emails, you may view them at any time in the account page when logged into your account.

Borders online store uses the services of Australia Post to distribute to addresses within Australia. All titles on the Borders web site show the estimated shipping time and the estimated time it will take for the title to be delivered to your address.

How long will it take you to receive your book?
The time taken for a title to reach you once it has been dispatched depends on where it has been sent from. Please check both the 'Ships in' and 'Received in' times given above an item's "buy" button to determine the delivery time to you. This time is determined as follows:

• Ships in 24 hours, Received in 10-12 days:
  The title is dispatched from an overseas supplier who will send the title directly to you. You should expect to receive it within 10 to 12 working days (from the working day following receipt of the dispatch email.) This delivery time applies to metropolitan areas of Australia (Perth may take slightly longer.) Rural delivery may take longer.

• Ships in 24 hours, Received in 7-10 days:
  The title is dispatched from an overseas supplier who will send the title directly to you. You should expect to receive it within 7 to 10 working days (from the working day following receipt of the dispatch email.) This delivery time applies to metropolitan areas of Australia (Perth may take slightly longer.) Rural delivery may take longer.

• Ships in 24 hours, Received in 2-3 days:
  The title is dispatched from our Melbourne fulfilment centre and sent with Australia Post. You should expect to receive it within 2-3 working days (from the working day following receipt of the dispatch email) for most metropolitan areas in Australia. Perth, Darwin and large cities and towns in QLD, NSW, SA & TAS can take 3-5 working days; other locations can take 4-6 days; remote areas can take longer.

• Pre-Order:
  A Pre-order title is displayed with a 'PREORDER' button. This title is not in stock either in our fulfilment centre or with our suppliers but is available for pre-order (i.e. to be ordered in advance of the publication or release date).
  
  Pre-ordered titles will generally be dispatched on or shortly after the publication date. Please check the individual title for more specific delivery details.
  
  Please note that Borders make no guarantee regarding dispatch or delivery of pre-orders and publication and release dates are subject to change without notice. We will endeavour to keep our site up to date following changes to any such date - please check our site to confirm dates.

• Back order:
  A Back order title is displayed with a 'BUY' button.This title is not in stock but can be ordered. Where possible we will provide an expected date when this title will be back in stock with our suppliers. If no expected date is listed, it will generally ship in 3-5 weeks.

Other delivery information
Your order is charged in full at the time your order is placed. Please ensure the delivery address and receiver's name for your order is accurate and complete (including any business name if shipping to a work address) as we are unable to change any details once the order has been placed.

Our databases are regularly updated based on current availability information supplied by publishers and book distributors. Books can and do sometimes become temporarily unavailable whilst reprinting, or they may go out of print without prior notice from the publisher.

Borders online store will endeavour to supply all orders placed via this site. All books and other products are listed for sale in good faith, but it is possible a supplier may notify us that a title is currently unavailable or no longer available. Upon receipt of this information from a supplier our online customer service team will contact you to let you know of the cancellation or delay of your order and payment will be refunded for each cancelled item.

Stock availability may differ between Borders stores and Borders online store.
