Yeah Ive read Single White Vampire, so sue me. It was funny and harmless, especially the ol vampire pretending to be human but writing "fiction" about vampire characters angle; )
there are 12 in the series, havent got my sticky fingers onto the other ones yet. I really should be dedicating more of my time to my PhD, but that's not as much frivolous fun! -

The first in the Nightcreature series, it kicks off in small town Lake Bluff, Georgia. Strong female character in Police officer Jessie McQuade and three dimensional Indigenous love interest in Will Cadotte (Professor)make this a great read. Unlike other romance/paranormal romance, when its time to hit the sheets the question of protected sex is artfully dealt with, which is always a good thing for this genre.Small town bigotry,secrets, attraction across racial lines and the ever present threat of werewolves fill out this pacy, engaging novel. -

****SO BAD IT'S GOOD!!!!*****
Oh yeah this is the literary equivalent of my purple padded Ricky Martin handbag (no kidding, I have one) I started this last night after I finished Shiver (again) and ploughed thru Chronicles of Vlad Tod... and I laughed so hard I sounded like Muttley having an asthma attack ; ) I was yelling at the characters like I do when I watch movies. I was snorting and carrying on like a pork chop, definitely a guilty pleasure read for when no one else is around to judge your gleefully silly reaction. Still not the worst thing Ive read so on that merit I recommend it if you've already read everything else you own (twice). I don't know if the rest of this Black Dagger Brotherhood series is the same, and Im not sure if I want to admit out loud (in cyberspace) that it wouldnt be such a bad thing, cos sometimes, you just need to laugh your guts out! -

This installment sees my equal fav Brother, Vishous, deal with some of the stuff that he's been carrying around for centuries and some of the newer issues that have been the source of his constant Grey Goose imbibing. Definitely some of the more sexually/ morally challenging scenes that Ive read in this series. Great, strong vibe from Dr Jane Whitcomb, not just your average heart trauma doctor/ love interest walkover, just the way Vishous and myself like to see women portrayed. This series just gets better and better! -

Aimed at teens/young adult readers this is another great read no matter what your age. I found it compelling, it's setting in small town/ small minded South Carolina resonates with anyone who never quite fit in. Grief, loss, family secrets and first time/ all consuming love are the themes in this worthy contribution to the genre of paranormal romance. This is the first in the series, sequel is Beautiful Darkness. -

This is the other series that Nalini Singh has on the go. Ive also read this twice, in the space of two weeks. What can I say, Ive been reading heaps cos it's cold here in NZ! Singh has kinda ruined me for some other authors in this genre cos her writing is pretty damn good! -

Ive read this twice, in the space of two weeks, it's my fav of the series (so far), and you cant go wrong when the hot male character is named Judd! Get on this author, she's great, a Fijian Indian who was raised in NZ...Love her work, she shows Twilight how to do it properly ; ) -

The next installment in the Fallen series. Should be good stuff if the first one is anything to go by. It is a middle way between the twee- ness of Twilight and the raunchyness of True Blood. Get on it if paranormal/ supernatural romance rocks ya boat ; ) -

Ploughed this one eagerly and now have to bide my time until 'Passion' comes out in 2011. The sense that you are being left behind by the love of your life is well conveyed, it may sound melodramatic but this fear resonates with many. Having to share said love object and not always coming first in their world is a tricky proposition at any age or stage of the love game... -

This bird is giving Nalini Singh a run for her money, though her two books (this and sequel, Linger) are more chaste as they are aimed at a younger audience, it isnt condescending or overly moralistic as some works for this age group can be. Her writing is lyrical but not overboard, and Ive found that the storylines she goes with are simple and clean, the big bad enemy of the piece is not a pack of rogue vampires/ werewolves/wizards etc, but time and nature itself. She also quotes Rilke and that is always a good thing ; ) -
