  magical and overall a lovely experience

  I have always loved De Lint, and have been reading his novels for years. This is a new one and I must say that he did not disappoint!
  I can honestly say I do not have one negative comment about this collection of intertwined short stories.
  De Lint's version of short stories provide an entry into a special version of the world we all live in. I found an escape within the pages of these stories.
  It is something special!!

  This novel is not what you might expect. The synopsis suggests that it is a 'vine story' of multiple people living interconnected lives. In truth it is much more than that. It creates an alternative universe. It takes modern vampire theory, the arrogance of the Americal military and the mystery of telepathy, and wraps it up with a love story, a page turning mistery and suspense thrills!!
  
  What more could one person need from a novel! I say - not much else!!
