Stephen King's quote on the back cover really sums this book up - once you begin this book, it becomes your world. It's like a cross between Stephen King's smart-horror and Michael Crichton's cautionary-science fiction. It's very well written like a work of literature, but very well balanced so that it is very easy to keep reading. Made it's way straight to my favourite books list!27/08/2010
I really loved this book. It's quite original and a great read. You really fall into the world that was created.23/09/2010
This novel is not what you might expect. The synopsis suggests that it is a 'vine story' of multiple people living interconnected lives. In truth it is much more than that. It creates an alternative universe. It takes modern vampire theory, the arrogance of the Americal military and the mystery of telepathy, and wraps it up with a love story, a page turning mistery and suspense thrills!!08/01/2011
When I first bought this book, I had believed that its whopping 700 or so pages would be a real challenge. thankfully I was wrong, from the moment I opened the book I felt compelled to continue, when I wasnt reading I was thinking about the book when I was reading I was thinking about what was to come.23/09/2010

this book was such a page turner that I really wish I had booked a babysitter for a few days so I could get on and finish it uninterrupted! great read, particularly if you have a quiet place with a banana lounge and some free time.08/12/2010
This is one of the best books I've read. It's so well written, it really keeps you wanting more. Was disappointed when it ended, because now I have to wait 2 years for the sequel. I loved this book, I recommend it for teens up! I'm only 13, and got through this book very quickly. Favourite book on my shelf.
