  A must read series. These books will have you wanting to throw all modernization aside and start living a life in a cave with Ayla & the clan.

  The Clan of the Cave Bear series is the best I've ever read. You cannot help being drawn into Ayla's world, so vividly painted by Jean M. Auel.
  Whilst I am so sad that the series will end with 'Land of Painted Caves' in April, I can't wait to find out how Ayla's story ends.

  I have to agree that this series is fantastic and I am waiting eagerly for the final part 'Land of the Painted Caves'. I have had to purchase a second set of books as the first fell apart from being read so much. It will be a shame that the story of Ayla will come to an end with this last book.

  I read this series 18 years ago and loved it and would happily re-read it. A totally take you away but believable story, an epic journey. Something in it for everyone.

  loved these books. couldn't stop reading, i spent many nights up till 3 am reading, excited for another book. i thought they were finished

  Wow!! The fact that Auel's latest book sustains the strength of storytelling and the richness of the writing style is testament to the writer's greatness. I so wish there were more writers of this calibre. They are few and far between. Final comment on the novel: wow!

  I was so excited when I learnt this novel was to be released. Auel deserves all the hype that goes to JK Rowlings. A test of a good writer is the ability to sustain the quality of the writing across a series and the richness and reality of the world in the story. Auel does this in the latest novel. My only disappointment was that the novel ended. Luckily I had another book recommended to me to fall back on. I'm doing a review for it today as well.
