Synopsis

A unique record of life and events in the 13th cent. with over 100 full-color reproductions of the original manuscript decorations. The autograph manuscript of the chronicle of the medieval English monk Matthew Paris is housed at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, U.K. Matthew Paris was probably born about 1200. He became a monk in the Benedictine monastery of St. Albans in 1217 and died there in
