One of the best books of all time, in any genre!

Absolutely brilliant.
I don't consider myself a science-fiction fan. I read comic books, yes, and I do kind of like a handful of individual sci-fi tales, but I like a few random examples of EVERY book genre.
I loathe "fantasy", and "science-fiction" is only one rung above that - it is just not good.
But this... this was epic. Utterly, utterly amazing. Aside from a handful of typos and one relatively substantial issue I take with the plot (i.e., that the entire population of a planet, even horribly disgruntled members of that population, can keep a MASSIVE secret from the rest of the known universe for a few centuries) I can't think of anything negative to say; the plot, the story, the dialogue, the language, the legitimacy of the science used... all of it was exemplary.
I am now definitely an Asimov fan, and if there's more science-fiction like this, I may be a -sci-fi- fan, too!
